Should i contact her to make an effort to be friends?

usually my ex of two and a half years now contacts me randomly and says i miss u lets hang out an everytime shes done this she has cancelled and we never hung out but she still talked to me idk y she does this but there is no bad blood between us we're cool our relationship was just the hottest love with the coldest ending she broke up with me w/o an explanation i let her go, moved on and have been in other relationships only thing i want from her is friendship because i miss her too and it just doesnt feel right w/o her no im not trying to get back with her i dnt think i want to so should i initiate contact with her regularly until she hangs out with me? or what? thank you
