How hot can a workplace be? ?

I work at dunkin donuts and my owners and really cheap and the ac is broken and it is now 100 degrees and we wear heavy knit polos and were not aloud to wear shorts ad the heat is really getting bad and I'm starting.to get sick and we.don't just sit around in like a workplace were running around making hot sandwiches and coffee but I don't know can I just say I'm not coming in until it gets fixed cuz its against some law or something without being fired
